I'd give it some time. According to the plans for the Streetscapes project that park is going to get a complete redesign (and apparently expansion, design shows they will close State St/Gay St connector street for more park) here in a few months anyway. As a resident of the 100 block I'd like to see some aesthetics as much as anyone. But as I watch all of this ongoing construction take place, I know it will come in due time.
