Thank you so much for taking us down memory lane. That is a wonderful story. You make me a very proud man to know that I own a building with such great history and tradition. Its is my pleasure to be part of this wonderful community, and having the opportunity to work with great people on this project. Everybody at the city has been so helpful and supportive of our team effort to redevelop 37 Market Square, including all the community groups that are committed to retaining the historic value of Knoxville. We are dealing with a building that has serious structural problems, but we believe we have found a way to retain the facade and front corner of the building. The Historic Zoning Commissioin and Knox Heritage understand our challenge, and are being most helpful in supporting our desire to do what is right and what will serve the community best. Our main concern beyond design is safety, which will most likely dictate what eventually happens. But having said that we are doing everything possible to retain the historic values of this building and to bring something very special to Market Square. I look forward to meeting yoiu in person and I thank you again for sharing all this history about 37 Market Square. Sincerely Glenn Laiken, Proud Owner of 37 Market Square.
