"On our website, clearly, the words seem to be the focus." .... um the last time I checked the point of someone who makes a living as a writer was to use these things called "words". And I think using the excuse that it's on-line, or was intended to be part of a photo essay is a thin excuse. A journalist is "is a person who practices journalism, the gathering and dissemination of information about current events, trends, issues, and people while striving for viewpoints that aren't biased." I think anyone can see the article is biased beyond any measure. "Perhaps knowing that he was asked to write content to accompany a photo essay will help provide more insight into the coverage you see above." you know it's not our job as a reader to try to figure out what content or angle of truth you choose to use in your journalism. Your entire paper owes Knoxville roller girls and it's fans a huge apology.
