What about painted faces is violent? I've been to plenty of children's birthday parties. Never once have I been attacked by a kid with a painted face.
I think a lot of female athletes in a wide range of sports are sexy but that neither adds to nor takes away from their athletic talent. My wife thinks baseball players are hot.
Does football promote masculinism? (not sure if that's a word)
