I knew a World's Fair Architect with Rentenbach. The story he heard confirm's Bryce's opinion that the Sunsphere is too short. The Gatlinburg Architect Howard(?) Bleb intended it to be 3 times as tall so that it could be seen from the interstates at the edges of Knox Cty.
It was scaled down by the budget and spawned years worth of jokes about its relative proportions. Imagine if the Eifel Tower was one third the size?
Maybe we could paint it white and interest Titleist Golf Balls in an ad to raise enough mula to fix it?
Just wish it was longer ...err Taller!
