Thanks for this article, Rikki! Tennessee citizens are lucky to have rights to clean water under TN's water quality laws. The coal industry has been caught red-handed in their collusion with TDEC to deregulate water protection and make it both easy and lawful to trash TN's waters. In my opinion, these bills will test the integrity of our legislature. The coal industry has already wrecked too many streams in Tennessee. I sure as heck don't want them running the water quality protection program.
