I remember the first time I ever saw Smokin' Dave, at Saturday Night On The Town (SNOTT) in I think 1985 or 86. They opened up for Hard Knox (!), and got heavily booed by the mulleted, spandexed crowd. And Todd kept saying, "Screw you, Knoxville! We're never coming back!", as they were being pelted with stale beer. As if they were some world-renowned band that was gracing us with their presence! For me, it was the beginning of a long and beautiful relationship w/ SD and the PD's that I still carry on to this day...
