This place is a diner, plain and simple. I dined with a friend who ordered the filet with spagetti (yes, that is how it is listed on the menu) and I ordered the ravioli. Both meals came with a side (potato, rice, applesauce, fries) and a side salad. The side salad was a joke; lettuce only. I had to ask for a side of tomato. The basket of texas toast was the highlight of the meal. The filet was cooked correctly but tasted bland because it was not seasoned at all. The tomato sauce was NOT homemade; it was poured straight out of a can. Fazoli's has better sauce.

The Original Louis' true claim to fame is suppose to be the pizza. I must be a glutton for punishment because I went back. The supreme pizza tasted like it came straight from the freezer section laced with canned mushrooms. One of my pizza pet peeves is canned mushrooms on a pizza. I will only accept fresh mushrooms but on this night I forgot to ask; my mistake. The crust was tough and the sauce tasted like tomato soup.
