Calendar listings are free. The listings include music events, dance nights, classical music, theater performances and dance, visual arts and museums, events, festivals, sports and recreation, lectures, kids’ events, open calls and auditions, free classes or classes with a nominal fee, and meetings. The calendar listings do not include school productions, commercial events or classes, political fund-raisers, class reunions, medical seminars and screenings, or sectarian religious events.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday at noon the week before the issue in which you want the listing to appear. Please include the name of the event or performer, the place or venue, date and time, a sentence or two describing the event, a contact number, any age restrictions, and cover or admission charge. Incomplete listings will not be published. Submissions may be sent by e-mail, fax (522-2955), or snail mail (ATTN: Calendar, Metro Pulse, 602 S. Gay St., Knoxville, TN 37902).
Ongoing events must be renewed every four weeks. Ongoing listings that are not renewed will be cut from the calendar.
