Warband take influence from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the late-1970s and early-'80s bands like Iron Maiden, Saxon, and Diamond Head that matched the DIY spirit of punk with galloping rhythms, flashy, melodic lead guitar, and Dungeons & Dragons-themed songwriting. Warband recorded its first album this summer; it's currently being mastered by doom/noisemonger James Plotkin (Khanate, Scorn, Old).
