Local CD Review: Llama Train

Out of Season

While Llama Train's first release, Siren Sounds, showcased the band's considerable pop smarts, their latest, Out of Season, captures some of the essence of the band's perilously good-rockin' live show. Siren's sweet harmonies are nearly absent, shelved in favor of crunchy six-strings and a loose, jammy aesthetic that manages to highlight the band's versatile chops without ever seeming indulgent. User's warning: Will not induce drowsiness. Best taken with beer.
